Job Description

As a Sales Support Representative, you will be a vital part of the sales team, providing crucial support to sales representatives and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the sales process. You will work closely with customers, handle inquiries, and assist in various aspects of sales.

Minimum Educational Qualification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred).

Technical Skills:

Sales Support Representative should possess a strong foundation in computer science and software development, including proficiency in:

  • Proficiency in using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho CRM.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong data entry and record-keeping skills.
  • Familiarity with sales order processing and inventory management systems.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Analytical Skills:

  • Ability to gather and analyze customer data and sales information.
  • Problem-solving skills to address customer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in order processing and record-keeping.

Certifications:

While not always mandatory, certifications can enhance a Sales Support Representative qualifications. Some relevant certifications include:

  • Relevant certifications in customer service, sales support, or CRM are advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the first point of contact for customers, responding to inquiries, providing product information, and addressing their needs.
  2. Assist sales representatives in managing customer accounts, including order processing, order tracking, and invoicing.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in the CRM system.
  4. Coordinate with various internal departments, including shipping, inventory, and finance, to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  5. Generate and distribute sales reports and dashboards to support the sales team.
  6. Assist in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and contracts for clients.
  7. Monitor and manage the sales support email inbox, responding to inquiries and forwarding leads to the sales team.
  8. Coordinate and schedule sales team appointments, meetings, and follow-up calls with customers.
  9. Assist in preparing and organizing sales events, trade shows, and product demonstrations.
  10. Collaborate with the marketing department to provide sales representatives with marketing materials and information.
  11. Help sales representatives in preparing and maintaining sales forecasts.
  12. Provide administrative support to sales managers, including scheduling, meeting preparation, and document management.
  13. Prepare and distribute sales training materials for new hires and existing team members.
  14. Assist with the onboarding process for new sales team members, ensuring they have the necessary resources and information.
  15. Collaborate with finance to process customer payments and resolve billing inquiries.
  16. Monitor inventory levels and assist in managing stock availability for sales orders.
  17. Maintain and update product information, pricing, and documentation.
  18. Ensure compliance with company policies, including pricing and discount structures.
  19. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of sales support best practices.
  20. Continuously improve and streamline sales support processes for greater efficiency.
  21. Escalate customer issues or concerns to the appropriate teams for resolution.
  22. Collaborate with external partners or vendors when necessary to support sales operations.

Expected Salary:

  1. Entry-Level : $75,000 to $85,000 per year
  2. Mid-Level : $95,000 to $105,000 per year
  3. Senior-Level : $110,000 to $130,000+ per year
