Minimum Educational Qualification:

Technical Skills:

Program Managers should possess a strong foundation in computer science and software development, including proficiency in:

  • Proficiency in program management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project or Jira.
  • Strong knowledge of project and program management methodologies and best practices.
  • Familiarity with risk management and mitigation techniques.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting.

Analytical Skills:

  • Advanced problem-solving skills to address challenges faced by the Scrum team.
  • Strong data analysis skills to track team progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Capacity to assess the impact of Agile practices on project success.

Certifications:

While not always mandatory, certifications can enhance a Program Managers qualifications. Some relevant certifications include:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification is highly beneficial.
  • Certifications related to specific industries or program management methodologies may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Define and establish program objectives, strategies, and scope.
  2. Plan, execute, and oversee multiple projects within the program.
  3. Develop detailed program plans, schedules, and budgets.
  4. Monitor program progress, budget adherence, and timeline.
  5. Identify and manage program risks and issues.
  6. Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams.
  7. Provide program status reports to stakeholders and management.
  8. Ensure program goals align with the company’s strategic objectives.
  9. Facilitate program meetings, discussions, and decision-making.
  10. Manage program resources, budgets, and risks.
  11. Collaborate with clients, vendors, and external partners as necessary.
  12. Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards in program management.
  13. Conduct post-program evaluations and assessments.
  14. Develop and implement program management best practices.
  15. Provide education and guidance on program management principles.
  16. Participate in program management meetings and strategy development.
  17. Collaborate with regulatory authorities, when necessary.
  18. Mentor and train junior program managers or program management interns.
  19. Collaborate with external program management service providers, as needed.

Expected Salary:

  1. Entry-Level : $75,000 to $85,000 per year
  2. Mid-Level : $95,000 to $105,000 per year
  3. Senior-Level : $110,000 to $130,000+ per year
