Job Description
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the organization’s digital assets and sensitive information. You will be responsible for identifying and mitigating security risks, monitoring network traffic, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policies and regulations.
Minimum Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)) preferred.
Technical Skills:
Cybersecurity Analysts should possess a strong foundation in computer science and software development, including proficiency in:
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
- Proficiency in network security, firewall management, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of encryption techniques and security best practices.
- Understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) security.
- Ability to analyze and respond to security incidents.
- Experience with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and assess security vulnerabilities.
- Ability to analyze security logs and data to detect anomalies and potential threats.
- Capacity to perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to security analysis.
- Proficiency in incident response and threat hunting.
Certifications:
While not always mandatory, certifications can enhance a Cybersecurity Analysts qualifications. Some relevant certifications include:
- Preferred certifications include CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, or other relevant cybersecurity certifications.
- Additional certifications in cloud security (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty) are advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:

Expected Salary:
- Entry-Level : $75,000 to $85,000 per year
- Mid-Level : $95,000 to $105,000 per year
- Senior-Level : $110,000 to $130,000+ per year
