Minimum Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications.
  • Familiarity with financial statement preparation.
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with tax preparation and compliance.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and analysis.

Analytical Skills:

  • Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or irregularities.
  • Strong attention to detail in reviewing financial documents and reports.
  • Problem-solving skills to resolve accounting issues effectively.
  • Capacity to interpret financial statements and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Analytical mindset for forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning.

Certifications:

While certifications are not always mandatory, they can enhance a Accountant qualifications and competitiveness. Some relevant certifications include:

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certifications.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  2. Financial Statements: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  3. Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  4. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to create and manage budgets and financial forecasts.
  5. Variance Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify variances and provide recommendations for cost control and revenue enhancement.
  6. Audit Preparation: Prepare financial documents and schedules for internal and external audits.
  7. Financial Reporting: Generate and distribute various financial reports to stakeholders, including management and external parties.
  8. Expense Management: Monitor and manage company expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  9. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to maintain accuracy.
  10. Compliance: Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws and guidelines.
  11. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting procedures and reporting.
  12. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to achieve company financial goals.
  13. Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.

Expected Salary:

  1. Entry-Level: $70,000 to $90,000 per year
  2. Mid-Level: $100,000 to $110,000 per year
  3. Senior-Level: $140,000 to $180,000+ per year
